# Rescript Journal > Rescript Journal is a guided reflective-writing app for unsent letters, difficult experiences, and daily reflection. Writing stays central; prompts and AI are supporting features rather than a chatbot conversation. Last reviewed: September 14, 2026. Feature details describe the current website and local product implementation; platform releases may differ. ## Official pages - [Home](https://rescriptjournal.com/): Product overview, writing practices, pricing, and ways to begin. - [FAQ](https://rescriptjournal.com/faqs/): Current answers about Letters, Healing, Mindful, prompts, AI, platforms, privacy, export, pricing, trials, and subscriptions. - [Expressive writing](https://rescriptjournal.com/expressive-writing/): Background on the writing approach used in the guided Healing practice. - [Privacy Policy](https://rescriptjournal.com/privacy-policy/): Current information-handling terms. - [Terms and Conditions](https://rescriptjournal.com/terms-and-condition/): Current product and subscription terms. - [Pricing](https://rescriptjournal.com/pricing/): Plan information and trial terms. - [Breakups](https://rescriptjournal.com/breakup/): Writing through a breakup. - [No contact](https://rescriptjournal.com/no-contact/): A place for the message you want to send. - [Grief](https://rescriptjournal.com/grief/): Writing about someone you miss. - [Night thoughts](https://rescriptjournal.com/night-spiral/): A starting point for recurring nighttime thoughts. - [Blog](https://rescriptjournal.com/blog/): Educational writing about journaling and difficult emotional moments. - [Web app](https://app.rescriptjournal.com/welcome): Start Rescript in a browser. ## Current product facts - Letters lets a person write to someone or something without sending the letter to that subject. - Letter starting points include breakup, grief, a past version of yourself, no one in particular, and a thought that keeps returning. - A letter can be saved, burned, or released; the app explains the consequence before a closing action. - Healing is a guided four-session practice inspired by expressive-writing research. Each day offers a focused prompt around a difficult experience. - After a session, a person can follow an optional physiological-sigh breathing exercise or skip it. - After the fourth Healing session, an AI-generated summary reflects on themes and emotional language across the cycle. It can be mistaken and is not a diagnosis or a measurement of recovery. - Mindful is a separate space for daily reflection. - An optional adaptive P.S. can offer a next question when writing pauses. The person chooses whether to follow it; AI does not write the letter. - Letters supports an optional photo. The current visual closing scenes can include the letter and its image. - A no-contact start date can be set inside a breakup letter; its count also appears on The Desk. It records time, not recovery or another person's activity. - Rescript is available on the web, iPhone, and Android. - Current US list pricing is $9.99 monthly or $59.99 annually. The annual plan is equivalent to $5.00 per month when billed annually and is 50% lower than paying monthly for 12 months. - A three-day annual-plan trial is available when the account is eligible. Purchase surfaces show the exact offer and renewal terms before confirmation. - The mobile app includes Export Journal and Manage Subscription in Settings. ## Important scope Rescript is a wellness and reflective-writing product. It is not medical care, diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or emergency support. For current data-handling details, rely on the official Privacy Policy rather than third-party summaries. Burn and Release are symbolic closing choices, not clinically validated treatments. Research about expressive writing or physical paper disposal does not establish the effectiveness of Rescript's digital rituals. A visual disappearance does not guarantee erasure from all backups or systems. For a fuller machine-readable product brief, see [llms-full.txt](https://rescriptjournal.com/llms-full.txt).
