Day 1 of no contact. Day 47. Day "I broke it."
No contact isn't a finish line — it's a behavior you maintain in 15-second increments. Rescript counts the days, holds the urges, and gives you somewhere to write instead of text.
What this feels like
"I'm on day 9 of no contact."
"I broke no contact after 3 weeks. Now I feel worse."
"I almost texted. I didn't. But I almost did."
"Day 28 NC. Why does it still hurt?"
"I keep drafting messages I never send."
What helps (and what doesn't)
The urge to reach out is loudest right before it gets quieter. Most people break no contact in the window before it would have naturally passed — not because they needed to, but because they had nowhere to put the urge.
Writing the message you almost sent — without sending it — is one of the most effective ways to process the urge without acting on it. The letter doesn't go anywhere. But the pressure does.
Day counters are optional in Rescript. If the number helps you, use it. If it's adding pressure, skip it.
